Ways to help.

So my idea was every TUESDAY I was going to post a new blog on ways to help. I pick something I think everyone should be aware of and leave it up to you to see if its something that you would be interested in helping out with. Well as most of you know today is WEDNESDAY. opps. I am still going to share the amazing campaign I discovered this week though.

Last week while I was in Venice I met a wonderful man named Christopher, he was volunteering his time to raise awareness about the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) http://www.hrc.org.

The Human Rights Campaign is America's largest civil rights organization working to achieve lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) equality. By inspiring and engaging all Americans, HRC strives to end discrimination against LGBT citizens and realize a nation that achieves fundamental fairness and equality for all.

HRC seeks to improve the lives of LGBT Americans by advocating for equal rights and benefits in the workplace, ensuring families are treated equally under the law and increasing public support among all Americans through innovative advocacy, education and outreach programs.

One of the things I learned from Christopher that I had did not know before meeting him was that in more then 1/2 the states in America employers can still fire lesbians, gay, bisexual, and transgender just for being those things. When I heard that I was sadden. That almost half the country still had this view. Now people can think what they want but this is my option EVERYONE DESERVES TO BE CREATED EQUAL. Its not fair.

I was able to do a small gift amount and I hope some of you will help as well just to help them to get the materials and finances they need to fight for their right to live normally in society. If you are interested in giving a one time donation or a monthly donation please visit there website to set it up.

If you can not give money, maybe try and give your time to volunteer and help. They have events all over the country that they could use volunteers for.

Love to all, xoxox
